September is always a busy month for me with my birthday, start of school and just getting back into a routine that works for me so I always try to have a little fun here and there.
Today, I went to an apple orchard with my boyfriend’s family while he stayed home to watch the Vikings game (we lost, sadly).
We went to an orchard named Minnesota Harvest, I believe. It was a really neat experience as I’ve only been to an orchard once before. I really love the atmosphere and the oddly enough, the smell. It just always smells like apples and cinnamon and I could not love it any more than I already do.
Check out all the apples I picked! I got a really good variety of apples that I need in order to make apple bars. I learned the recipe from Adam’s grandma and we are looking forward to making them ourselves for the first time! (I’ll share that with y’all sometime soon)
Along with going to the apple orchard we also happened to stop by Minnesota’s largest candy store! How fun, right? I picked up a few yummy things that Adam and I both enjoy!
I saw these mini wonder balls so I just HAD to get them. I used to love eating these when I was younger. The spongebob edition of them were the best and I could not pass up an opportunity to have them once again. I couldn’t wait to eat it so as soon as I got back to Adam’s parent’s house I scarfed mine down. It was just as delicious as I remember.
**Also, please ignore my gross nails that I need to get redone.**
I don’t know about any of you but these things beat tootsie rolls for me. They are smaller but they are so much more delicious. I used to get these at Mr. Gatti’s (this is a pizza place where they have arcade games and you win tickets for prizes) when I lived in Texas and they have been my favorite ever since.
I also found Kinder chocolate which is so good so I got two small bars because it was actually pretty pricey to buy a bag. The bars were $0.89 and a small bag with about 5 pieces was $5.00 which I thought was super weird because usually when you buy more you get a better deal but I was essentially paying a dollar per bar instead of 89 cents.
Who else is a pocky fan? I love the original pocky so much!! There was a full section at this candy store with just pocky. They had all sorts of different flavors and I wanted to buy them all but I’m poor and don’t have lots of money so I had to settle for just one. I chose the chocolate coconut one because it drew me in the most. I love coconut, I love chocoalate and I thought the chocolate coconut combination would be really tasty. I’ll let you know if it’s good or not, but I’m sure it’ll taste amazing.
This is another “I love all of these things separately so why not try them together” thing that I bought. THEY ARE SO GOOD 10/10 would buy again. The most prominent flavor is the lime, which I expected, and the ranch is very subtle but you know it’s there, the avocado oil is hard to make out but if you eat enough of them, it’s there too!
Finally, I have some Minnesota Harvest Apple Donuts. Adam snagged one before I could snap a picture of them so I’m guessing that means that they are good! They are covered in sugar and look really yummy so I guess I’ll see when I try them in the morning with my coffee.
Also, just a little extra to the end of this post, I received my free Sephora birthday gift yesterday and thought I should share it! (Who knew that you had to buy something in order to receive your free gift? Cause I sure as heck didn’t!)
Anyways, since I had to buy something, I decided I should just buy my foundation because I’m pretty sure mine was over the shelf date.
My hands-down favorite foundation is tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea water foundation. I love tarte so much, my free gift was the amazonian clay 12-hour blush in paaarty and the tartiest creamy matte lip paint in birthday suit. I haven’t tried it yet but the lip paint looks like it will be absolutely gorgeous.
Well that’s all for today, thanks for reading!!
